Make your CC load faster. Priority trick.
I'm pretty sure the more technically minded in this forum have already figured this out, and there was no sign of it in the search, but I feel that this simple trick speeds up CC loading time drastically.
Rite, we all run on XP. Sorry Vista users i have no idea if this works for you.
When CC is in the progress of loading all of your many, many mods, push Alt + CTRL + DEL.
Then go into processes in task manager, and look for Cortex Command.exe(helps if you list them alphabetically)
Right click on it, go to Set priority > then click on Realtime.
Yeah this just generally makes it load faster and reduces lag as well.
Thanks
Rob

That practically almost killed my comp!
I only use this for my internets, and not at the highest priority.

It's an extremely bad idea to do this if you have a lot of things open. Or if your computer is just generally bad. It can cause your computer to lock up(It will probably go back to normal after a bit).

Oh sorry, I suppose its not a good idea to put it at Realtime. maybe jsut a higher priority then.
Also, does you computer lock up??? mine doesnt but thats just because its got dual cpu and 2.4 gb of ram. So i suppose if you have a decent pc you might want to try it.

Realtime, by the way, means CPU is devoted entirely to whatever process. I'd never want to set anything to this, unless doing something like batch compression of files when I'm asleep, where the program will end itself after a while.

It worked so hard when it was running it realtime,
that it automatically lowered it self back to normal.
I did that to gmod though on my fast comp with a less
high priority and it worked like a charm.
That is good Idea.

It gives me mouse+keyboard lag.

well...
maybe it just stops ctrl+alt+del? try ctrl+shift+esc. that gets you right to the processes menu in XP.

Or if you just read one of the zillion others threads about this:
Drag the game window to the farthest margin of the window.
Suggesting someone dedicated 100% processor clock to one application is not only bad, its a good way to break ♥♥♥♥. Lock this, please.

Get all of the free antivirus things from avg.
Grab all three of them and run them one at a time.
