Ok, here's what we'll do. I was away for a bit, and we're already getting complaints. So, I suggest that you say what was neglected, and we'll decide on an action. That's much better than just grumbling about it instead of trying to help. Or flaming.

And TLB, ignore them. If they complain, just tell them to be quiet if you did the right thing. If they don't stop, just alert me.

The real problem I have with the current staff is their inability to promptly respond to reported posts and to adequately keep the spam and flaming levels to a tolerable level.

That right there is more than enough allegations of dereliction of duty. The forum needs more active moderators (whether they are chosed by the forum administrator or by consensus is not the issue). Pick them however you want, but this forum needs active moderators.

Or -- you could always just go somewhere else

I think that most of the mods and admins should be up to the current mods and admins, just because... there the ones with the power. I also believe that some of them should be user chosen (like election day or something). I'm not trying to hint anything but... I'm always on, respond to things, and am responsible. Also I wouldn't let HUGE flame wars break out like they have previously.

Why would we need more mods and admins?
Some of them just need to take charge and stop the problem before it gets worse.

Well the problem isn't that we need more it's that we need ones who are more active and do their job effectively.

We can all moderate the forums to a degree I have been reporting post's and pming people if their sig is broken.
