Well, I'm a fan of Star Wars, and today just so happens to be its thirtieth birthday, so here's a topic for it. Because SW is awesome.

I mostly just read the books. I've only watched the movies about 3-4 times each, which is really, REALLY short of the requirement to be an official fanboy. I'm not the kind that would show up for the Star Wars convention in full Darth Maul makeup, mostly because Darth Maul knew nothing of the dark side. Wuss.

Corran Horn is my favorite character from the books, my favorite bad guy (and probably better than Corran, come to think of it) is Grand Admiral Thrawn, and I love the X-Wing series.

So, whether you don't know a gundark from a mynock or can name the designer of the Death Star (Bevel Lemilisk (who also was hired to create the Darksaber for the hutts)), pay tribute to its greatness here. Or not. I won't care, since I'll be on vacation for the next week or so without any internetz.

EDIT: Well, you can talk about the movies... or the animated series announced recently... or the stuff at the SW convention today... or you just can not post... as I said, I don't care.

I have read like every SW book in the library and watch the movies like every week! I love Star Wars and my favorite character is Darth Vader. The only thing I dont like about SW is how them Rebels win. ITS IMPOSSIBLE!!! The Galactic Empire has superior every hing!!!

i think the books SUCK! the old movies are the best, new movies not great, but i have only ever read 2 decent starwars books.

My favorite ship is the B-wing.

Sure, you only see them for about 5 seconds in ROTJ but still... they're awesome.

My fave fightor is probably the TIE Interceptor or TIE Advanced XI. SSD is my favourite capital ship.
