Fatal Frame.
If you fear paranormal stuff, I suggest staying the hell away from this.
It's screwed up. Can't play it for more than 2 minutes before freaking out.
Any sympathizers? (Besides Holy Mombasa.)

Oh gosh yes. I've only really played 1213... oh my gosh that game is so deep... you start out thinking you are a prisoner inside a underground bunker. Then *SPOILER!!!!* you find out you are a clone on a SPACE STATION and something horrible has happened to the other clones and you are really a military tool!
Oh gosh, that game gave me the CREEPS! I can't even SCRATCH the surface!
Also here's my list:
F.E.A.R... DEMO! So scared I didn't get the full game.
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. So scared I didn't even find my first bloodsucker >.<
DOOM 3 DEMO >.>
Quake 4 Demo... sorry, some of those strogg CREEP ME OUT. And no, of COURSE they can't send backup! You have to do half of the stuff alone! -.-' I'll be fine if I was like a squad leader...

Have you played number 2? The three main parts that really messed with me were Limbo Woman (pic) popping into random windows, the crying little girl (pic) that turned the whole screen black (except when she runs right in front of you), and Sae (pic) chasing you.
It was one of the most fun games I've ever played, yet I still don't want to play it again.

RE4's the scariest I've played, and it's more action then horror. But the Regenerators and Iron Maidens scarred the crap outs me! ...especially at the one point in the game you you're looking at the T.V. screen and see the Iron Maiden coming. I was aiming at a door with a magnum...and it was the wrong one. It speared me and when it did I screamed like a girl...

Nope. I've played it with headphones, without them and in the middle of the night. I dont think it's scary.

You're all going to call me a pussy over this, but when I was around 8, I was terrified, terrified by the final boss in Panzer Dragoon Orta. You know the one, that giant, silvery, abomination-of-a-dragon thing?
Heh. I can't believe I was scared by it.

I agree, the Regenerators are scary as hell. The rest of the game isn't that scary, though.

i played doom on gameboy or somfin, and you couldnt see coz the resolution was so bad, and you wouldnt know your were under attack untill it was too late eg: 'holy crap, theres a giant red dog biting my legs off!' not really that scary, just annoying.
funny, but republic commando, still scared me the most. it wasnt fear scariness, but tension scariness. as i said earlier: ' visulaise racks filled with super battle droids (which were incredibly hard to kill) upon racks upon racks of them. with a few missing holes for you to walk through. if you accidently shot one, it would come out of standbye. there were also ones that came out of standbye nomatter waht. the biggest problem was, if you died, you were scrwed: because:
rubuplic commando is a squad based game. if you get 'killed' you dont die straightaway, you just fall, and a team member could come and revive you. this section was you alone. so when you died, you had to start again.

No, I haven't played the second one, and for fear of more effing horrible month long nightmares, I'm not going to look at those pictures. Anyone else can damn well go ahead.
Yes, it freaks me out that much.

I wasn't scared of them, just curious in how something could take a shotgun blast TO THE FACE at point blank and live.
Ah, well. It's a game, so it could happen.
My friend never reads anything in a game so we didn't know how to kill them, we died like 50 times.
We then found out to use the thermal scope.
Which vexed us so.
