Post Who wants CC to be on XBLA?
I hav posted my comment on here stating that I will like CC to come on XBLA. http://gamerscoreblog.com/team/archive/ ... 46058.aspx

Anyone else going to help this game get noticed by MS?

CC is NOT for XBLA.
The moddability of the game is one of its best characteristics, putting it in XBLA would kill it.

There could be cheat packs or a mode that allows you to change the modable fields but you cannot get ranked or something.

But still this game is awesome and it needs to get the attention it deserves.

IMO this game is the best 2D game ever. Just brilliant gameplay. The physics add so much to gameplay.

The moddable mode is a good idea. But it would be a pain to convert.

What do you mean by that?

I do not know much about Developing but can you explain what it means by needing to convert the mode?

The link was for No Stuff, he asked what XBLA was.

Those two sentences were two separate, linked thoughts. The moddable mode would be a good idea, but I couldn't see how to isolate it from the rest of the game.

Hmmmm...

You could release TWO versions. A non-moddable, bare-bones version (800 points), and the super-awesome, rock-your-face-right-off moddable version (1200 points).

Aforementioned super-awesome, rock-your-face-right-off version could also have some extras (i.e. More weapons, scenes and actors, sandbox mode, online multiplayer, etc.) for those willing to pay the extra US$5.

But I digress.

The second sentence was saying that the game itself would be difficult to convert. Plus, you would have to dress it up in order to make it attractive to those with things such as HDTVs.

Controls would need to be tweaked, sprites polished, coding re-coded, hard code rewritten, which I assume would be a right ♥♥♥♥♥.

This is the Holy Grail to indie developers and fans of said developers, but it, like said Grail, is incredibly difficult to attain.

I was thinking that too but the mods are what make the game and so does the community
maybe the full version of CC could be in XBLA with LIVE multi player but it seems unlikely

also CC on Nintendo DS would be cool but IMPOSSIBLE

I was talking with my friend about how great CC would be on XBLA.

As for the mods, some of the top mods could, (With permission from the authors) be released in mod packs.

Like, 10 mods for 100 MS points or something, could work well.

Pfft. Put it on XBLA and it instantly becomes property of microsoft. and they just loooooove the idea of a fresh idea that they didnt think oh.

CC should remain independent. More games belong that way.

And that would throw both modding and the Mac/Linux ports out the window. :(

Virtual Console is only remakes of old games, not new games.

Oh, and PSN is out of the window, because the PS3 is an oversized George Foreman Grill.

No, because I do not own an XBOX or any other console whatsoever.
