Revolutionary multiplayer idea
well i was just thinking about it, that we can acctually play over internet, u just need logmein and then let yout friend "hack" into your pc start the game in windowed and blam, there u have it, multiplayer, well i must say that , the one who will join the "host" will have not so cool details but at least its something for the moment, till the real LAN comes...

Yea, its called VNC. Its nothing revolutionary. You could conceivably do this with any application that allows remote manipulation of your PC. Also, its even possible for remote assistance on Windows XP to do this.

I have thought about this many times before.
What if your friend presses your buttons while you are playing?
Or visa-versa?
and log me in is NOT free.
If someone does find a remote control program that is free, please tell me.
The more open source the better.
https://secure.logmein.com/home.asp
EDIT: That was quick.
Free remote computing is already installed on your computer.
Start => All Programs => Accessories => Communications, => Remote Desktop Connection
or
Start => All Programs => Accessories => Remote Desktop Connection
But you need to find out your full computer name and you need to be on a domain...
Full computer name can be found out by right clicking "My Computer" hitting properties and clicking computer name...

Whoops... sorry... I've seen this topic before somewhere.
Thought it was a necro.
So technically it isn't revolutionary, because someone's suggested it before (search button, keyword: multiplayer)

"The search button is a virtue." I'm gonna make a userbar with that quote.

UltraVNC is my favorite VNC program, and I've investigated quite a few now, it's open source too.
I use it to control an (screenless) networked pc in my living room to play music off, much cheaper than a real media center computer
