Okay, because i know many of the people that Enjoy the Glory of Cortex, i have decided that im going to make a couple of Threads that related solely to the New Ideas. I'm sure that the Game Creators have many ideas of their own, but the people really know what would make this Game Leet beyond Compare.

So please, only Post on this thread about things that pertain ONLY TO TROOP TRANSPORTS, BOTH FOR PEOPLE YOU HAVE BOUGHT AND POTENTIAL TRANSPORTS, NOT ATTACK VEHICLES OR THINGS OF THAT NATURE

Here is an Example... and yes, its an actual idea.

Name: Drop Pod

Description: Basically a pyramid shaped object of metal

Actions: Drops from the top of the Screen when you buy it. Does not use boosters as it falls to the planet. When it hits, it waits a second or two, before slits open in the side letting your units pour forth. LANDS EXACTLY WHERE YOU ORDER IT (If you can't do that then how about really really close?) Once it has unloaded and waited for a second or two, it boosts up in a straight line, Meaning, if you drop on a Slant, it will boost off at a slant and remain at it. Flies Very Very Fast. Does not cause a Giant Crater upon Landing.

Dude, my point is,
One: it's not it the main Game itself
Two: This Thread Extends to anyone who has an idea about ways to Deliver/Transport Troops
Three: I know that sometimes designs from the gamers can turn out better than those from the Game Designers, simply because the Gamers know what they want
Four: Yea, last time i checked, i didn't see one that looked like that, nor functioned like what I Descibed, that wasn't at the same time either hard to use effectively, or was not so easy to use/Cheap that you didn't use anything else.
Five: I am sure that the Game Creators would appreciate Ideas from the Gamers to all be in one thread, instead of 5000 different ones...

ooh someone is grumpy. btw, in mod making there is already a mod ideas section. you are just spamming up general. use that. seriously, you might get banned doing stuff like this.
and i admit some of the mods are a little glitchy, but the fact is, the game will be very simple untill its finished, so use mods while they are around. the game creators and the gamers are really close here, so it sivery possible that some mods will be put into the actual game.

You still are not getting the point. This is for recommendations for the GAME CREATORS NOT MODDERS to do things that would require a significant amount of coding in the core files. Last time i checked, pretty much everything makes an impact on the ground, unless it does not land. So yea, you can have a section in the modding area for things that are relativly simple to code, but that does not help with ideas that would have to have some parts hard-coded into the main game file itself.

oyu are not getting my point. the game coders are working on gameplay itself, rather than funny little people transprots weapons etc. they come later. the fact is, they hahve better things to do like physics, gibs, effects menus and more!

And my point is, this is for ideas for when they actually get around to the point, hence ideas, not requests. Stating ideas implies suggestions for a possible general direction/action that could be taken. Requests are completely different because they are actually asking for them to happen/ be created. I made this thread so people could post things that they think could improve gameplay for ALL who play cortex command, and not just the select few that download mods, so that cortex command can be even better for all that play it, drawing more people to the game itself. Besides, judging from the simple scroll through of the forums, many people don't know how to add on mods, thus making it so they only have the basic Items. If they were to add these things in, maybe not anytime soon, but when they can, then it will help them save time because they don't have to spend countless hours just thinking ♥♥♥♥ up.

i see. btw, most people DO use mods, and if someone doesnt know how to isntall them, they are pretty bad at using computers/reading. ok peace now. i dint mean to offend your highness.

No specific Transport, but a way of delivery, How about things that can actually spawn in your base instead of being dropped off, like, an area where you can produce raw workers to accomplish certain select actions, like repairing stuff and building defensive things like tiny bunkers or stuff along those lines.

No, im not talking teleporter, not that it wouldn't be a pretty good idea, im talking a special area of your base in which you can spawn a select few units, maybe just clones for instance, and then they have no guns

The official releases of the game contain what the devs think should be in the game. The mods of the game are for what WE think should be in the game. I'd much rather have Data spend his time coding more flexibility into the game so that we could make dozens and dozens of our ideas come to fruition instead of having him make a few of them himself and thus neglect the rest of us. He works on the code and gameplay first and the actual content later. We work on the content first and only.

I think it would be cool to have a crate (with parachute I suppose) that breaks when it hits the ground and releases its contents. Has anybody done this?
