new modders need lua to do everything in cc, but hey, that's how things work now

Nobody remember "ghost" made by purple? he sure was a great assassin
and had exploding bullets in his sniper rifle... B18 if I recall correctly...

IMHO it is the exact opposite, Lua is simple and ini is an undocumented mess. Besides, when you spawn a projectile by firing an emitter there is always a risk of the user hitting itself, since the emissions can not be set to safe for the grandparent (e.i. the shooter). Thats why you would sometimes lose a limb when firing the pre B26 Coa heavy sniper rifle.

If you change the bullet from a MOPixel into a single pixel MOSRotating, you should be able to add gibs to it no problem.

edit: it might be a bit more trouble adding a tail to the bullet, but you can just attach a MOPixel with a tail to the bullet, or if MOPixels can't be attached (Memory blurry), you can always attach an AEmitter and have a coalition heavy sniper rifle like trail.

edit2: This is all hypothetical and I have tested none of this.

If I recall correctly a MOSRotating has to be at least 2x2 to be able to gib and not just disappear randomly
