Post A request for those who make weapon packs.
Please, I beg of you, place each weapon in its own .rte! Please! It's not that hard! I hate going through the long process of loading an entire pack (cough*MaximDude's*cough) when I just want to use one or two weapons!

Anyone here agree?

But then you end up with tons of .rte's in your CC folder.

And? Then you can pick and choose which to keep and stick the others into some "Unused mods" folder like I do.

I would love this thing.
This is exactly why I don't want to use DMOD.

I'd also suggest the ASH33 style. All you have to do is to remove a clearly marked piece of code in the huge .ini file that has it all.

Or ... stop whining and just delete the specific items.

Do you realize how long it would take for people who make those packs to split each item into a specific mod folder? Some of those packs have over 20 weapons. I think you're being a little unreasonable considering how hard some people work to get modifications out.

I went through Pack-O-Stuff V2 and deleted all the stuff I didn't like and it took me 10 minutes. It's really not that difficult.

Well. It ain't difficult, but it would save lots of users time.

I'm not really troubled removing stuff from the .ini, but it would be a lot easier to just remove the .rte

Or how about this, which would enable a single .rte, but, all the weapons you want access to. Put all files relevant to a weapon in individual .inis, rather than all together. Then, to delete weapons, all ya gotta cut out is a line in index.ini

...

I started the method by which every weapon has it's own .ini, and the Index is used to decide which ones it loads.
I also made a mod with only an Index.ini

I myself, wont do it... Thats my way of modding, I put a bunch of stuff in one .ini, I hate having a million folders, and removing all the weapons you dont like is no big deal, all you have to do is "Ctrl+F" then type the weapon name, then select the whole code and erase it, there is no need to erase magazines after that, cause there just wont be used in anything so they will just... Do nothing

I made my pack cause I was bored, im gonna complete it maybe next week when I finish all the guns I need to, after that, I dont care what would you say

I totally agree that packs should come in seperate .rte files, I only end up using maybe 4-5 at most and absolutely hate having to sift through coding and other files deleting stuff just so I can use what I want.

But in the end it's totally up to the modder and we can't do anything more than b*tch and complain about it. Aw well, such is CC life...
