Do you have a modified CC resolution? Do you have 32-bit color depth?

I've seen that error plenty of times while attempting to change the resolution.

D: I'm getting this bug aswell...and this is from a clean install, How do I fix it?
Also I'd like to note that i'm using Windows XP, if that effects anything.

Make sure that you've got nothing insane going on, like some wierd resolution or something. Look in base.rte/settings.ini and check so that it's 640x480 and fullscreen is set to 0.

Its set to 640 480, and fullscreen is set to 0

It worked after I set fullscreen to 1.
It can only work in full screen I guess.
