DRM question...
So I just installed cortex via the link Data posted, and for whatever reason I didn't have to input my key... Is data just giving out the game now? Its not that big a deal, but similarly to those who have a problem with the DRM-free bundle, to pay $20 for a game and then have the later version given away for free is a little aggravating... its probably just an oversight, but I'm just a little curious

Re: DRM question...
What happened is, Data didn't have time to make both a DRM-free version (for the Humble Indie Bundle #2) and a DRM'd version (for here on his site) so he just uploaded the DRM-free version to HIB2 and left a link here on the forum for the rest of us.

Re: DRM question...
DRM free build was solely for the HIB2. Future builds will require a key. One of the requirements for the HIB2 was that there was no DRM, so data had to comply to get in.
Also, that's not supposed to be anywhere but here. If you're passing that link, you're not making this any better. Not directed at you, but mostly at everyone else.
EDIT: DAMMIT DUH YOU SOFT NINJA

Re: DRM question...
So... no one else finds this snippet inside Readme.txt: Quote: ================================ - Cortex Command Test Build 24 - ================================ http://www.cortexcommand.comThis work-in-progress version of Cortex Command (TM) is provided for demonstration purposes and is not a finished product. Please distribute it far and wide! a bit problematic ?

Re: DRM question...
The one that's in the root Cortex Command folder.
And no, that's not problematic because before b24 there was a key system that kept full access limited to paying customers. Eventually it'll be fixed back to that.

Re: DRM question...
I have no problem with it, just trying to point out that OP point (also someone's else in Off Topic part of the forum) wasn't entirely without merit.
