Nope I'm not getting anything at all.

What are your control settings?

I seriously don't know whats going on. If Player 1 is on Classic Keyboard, I can crouch and the grapple will stretch but won't go up. It will only stretch. Other than that, Keyboard + Mouse does nothing.

The only problem I can think of is your mouse screwing up.

Right I think is an issue but its also my keyboard too. I'm using a laptop with a lazor mouse if that helps.

There is a control for the keyboard but that doesn't work either.

ok... step by step, assuming you have the grappler in your posession, and have fired it to stick to something.

1. Press and HOLD "s"
2. Place your finger on the Scroll Whell located on your mouse
3. WHILE HOLDING DOWN "s", move the scroller up and down

and leonx, i have a laptop with Logitech Lazer Mouse, so its not your equipment.

I just downloaded and tested the controls and they work perfectly. Make sure you are currently holding the spelunker when attempting to climb.

you dont need it in your hand to climb:

but you need to have it exist in your actors inventory to climb (you cant shoot it and drop it and climp -_-)

Just a thought, if you do ever make the Combat Claw, you should name it after a type of claw weapon or punch blade...

Like Bagnahks, or Cesti.

Not sure what name would be best, but that seems like a viable theme for naming it.

Well, I don't use a logitech mouse. I use a microsoft mouse, the really slim/portable one.

The scrolling just isn't working. I think it has to be my mouse being buggy. I also know for a fact that scrolling doesn't work in CC for me. For example, when I open the buy menu, I can't scroll through stuff.

Is there a way you can make a version that uses a system like a secondary fire? As in pressing Y will make it go up and pressing U will make it go down?

Also, can someone give me a game and options settings they have set for player 1-4? I think it could be that.

Also, I did uninstall and reinstall CC and the scrolling still doesn't work.

Microsoft mouse drivers have never, even once, allowed right-clicking or anything like smooth scrolling for me.
That could be your issue, though not sure.
What about using crouch for down, and jump for up?
S+W could make it decrease length, and also cancel the actor's jetpack -- not sure if possible, but seems plausible.
S alone would increase length, until the actor is near the ground or maximum length is reached.

Well, when I press W (up) I use my jet pack and if I stop using the jetpack, my character will just fall until he hits the limit. When I crouch, I crouch and it doesn't increase the length.

well... since your mouse obviously sucks... does your laptop have a scrollline on the trackpad? if not... and you REALLY want to use the gun... go to options and set Player 1 to keyboard. then do what the OP says, and it should work.

Well when I use my pad scrolling, it runs through the weapons in my inventory.

I really have no idea what the hell is going on. Can someone make a version that isn't so...messed up for me?

If it's running throught your inventory, that means you aren't pressing crouch.

Remember:
Mouse Users
CROUCH + (SCROLL UP or SCROLL DOWN) = CLIMBING

Keyboard/Gamepad Users
CROUCH + (UP or DOWN) = CLIMBING

I'll also look into getting the controls to work for controllers with analogs, Mataro, so don't worry.

Edit: I'm not exactly sure what the controls are like for an analog controller. Could someone go into detail about what every usable button does and what every direction of the usable analog results in?

Hey Cave, can you do me a favor and tell me where in the code I can change the controls for the claw?

Or could you do me a bigger favor and make a version with different controls?

Also, I don't know if this is a bug or what but when I was hanging from the ceiling, I swung into a portal and I instantly died.
