Re: Force-Based MO Grappling Gun *UPDATE
Special Grappler idea: shoot two ropes at someone, which then exert a great force in opposite directions, so you end up tearing that someone apart.

By launching two hooks to a craft and activating a HESG, you turn a random soldier into a very powerful mounted turret. Especially when your craft is invincible and tremendously stable. Attachment:

I don't have an image of it, but this is a terrific thing to pair with a gravity gun.

afgdsafgsd I swore myself off of CC grappling guns, since none of them really worked well, but everyone seems to be gushing, so I suppose I'll try it out.

There's an old, old version hanging out around here somewhere: viewtopic.php?f=75&t=18749It's something I was working on a while ago, but I got hung up on spriting and it never really advanced past the mining beam.

Re: Force-Based MO Grappling Gun *UPDATE
The weight mode.. The weight should be launchable. Eg, you grapple someone, and the weight is fired afterwards. So that you can tether them away from you.. Launch the weight past them and over a cliff, or just generally fire it in the opposite direction and watch them go flying after it or get torn or something equally devilish. Oh, and, are the keys all definable? I see options for mouse and keyboard users.. But for me, 360 pad is the only way to go.

Re: Force-Based MO Grappling Gun *UPDATE
CC48, if I knew nothing about the controls of the grappling gun, and I just sat here and tried to play it, I wouldn't be able to figure it out. I think that in your quest for the simplification of the controls you've actually sacrificed the pick-up-and-play aspect of your mod.
I still haven't managed to change the length of my wire, though I'll try again later.

The controls should be the same as the TF Grappling Gun. I'll check it out later though, and see if there are any bugs or anything.

Re: Force-Based MO Grappling Gun *UPDATE
Ok so I still haven't figured out the controls for this yet...
When I grapple, I stay at the height where I grappled. And I can't figure out how to rise/fall with the grapple. Is there a control change in settings I need to change?
