Post 24bit CC! 0.o
I was just messing around with my extra copy of CC reserved for experiments only and I found out that by replacing the pallet file with a 24bit version I could make CC 24bit! Imagine being able to make sprites in photoshop without worrying about colors you could use gradients and stuff also. There are problems with this though because I have to go and turn all of the images into 24bit but Ill see if I can make a 24bit CC mod.

I think you may just saved my life.

CC's Pallet is giving me hell, and I feel like stabbing Data right now.

Damn it wont work I tried converting the images to 24bit but it wont work. the bit depth must be defined somewhere else.

Raising it above 8 bits breaks the game.

Yep even if you change the pallet file to 24bit damn. Data make CC a 32 bit game! or at least 16bit.

-Fun fact the clouds in CC consist of only 14 colors!

Yeah I want Data to seriously up the number of colors, my base sprites I spent HOURS on have had their quality butchered thanks to the 256 color pallet.

Yeah it REALLY screwed with my background image.

I was able to minimize damage using dithering though.

I've had that happen to me before after minimizing the game a whole lot, only the colours were a little different.

Your game probably got stuck into the normal Desktop 32 bit mode. I would expect it to be different, since this is 24 bits and not 32.
