yeah so your idea is retarded because you really won't ever be able to make that work well at all and you don't even know what you want

I hate to burst bubbles, but you will reach the MOID limit very fast with destructible trees.

There's a better way to do it, but I don't think many Lua coders are up to it. It's a large task involving physics, trigonometry and math. But it would soothe the MOID count.

PM Dragonxp he's the one working on this and I'm sure he would be interested.

I'm still waiting on contrary with sprites,
I can't offset anything without sprites.
Btw, lets say a 5 section tree.

You could make some place holders so you can test.
5 sections does sound reasonable for a tree, maybe I could Jedi mind trick you into sending me a preview?

hey, cant you just put ragdoll like blocks stacked up and then outline the blocks with very very very thin strips of land.and when the land is destroyed the blocks fall. no math involved.and so simple i could do it and possibly not fail. and i suck at modding and creating anything. oh and by the way how do upload drawings into replys?and how do you take a picture mid-game and the use it as an avatar?

I think you may have a bit of a misconception about how modding works, play around with some ini code on a actor till you get a feel for it.
As for loading images into posts I use the Img code I get from photobucket, which is also how I use it as my avatar.

I hope this helps you some, and I look forward to seeing you make some mods here.

That's actually not a half bad idea...

Playing around with friction and sizes/placing could have this method work. Mass would be another tricky thing to work with, and sharpness might be a good factor to have. Still, the MOID limit is a problem.

If you (anyone) are interested in the concept for breakable trees while respecting the MOID limit, PM me. I don't want a thousand monkey-coders slapping it together and claiming it was their idea.

It's not a bad idea, but it's really not going to work within CC's current engine. Impact physics just aren't there in the way you want them to be.

Yeah, man, those four pieces of one object that totally collided with each other totally slid right through each other and bounced off each other in a physically realistic way and uh, slid right through each other
