Has anyone tried using Riot Shields? They're hilariously fun, and you get good points, but unfortunately your K/D suffers.

As far as I know my friend's K/D with our knife class skyrocketed once it switched to Riot Shield and Throwing Knife.

It always seemed to me like you run slower with the riot shield on your back. If you don't then it's pretty much a perfect primary for the knife class.

And I do love using the throwing knife. It makes for good times.

Oh, you run slower, the lightweight is there to make you run normal speed.

But the riot shielding knife class is more of a controller and clearer than a horror movie slasher. Also I like how there are certain places on every map that seem like a logical place to sit and wait except nobody ever goes there so people never expect you to shoot or knife them there.

I've been thinking about running a knife class, but I haven't been mucking around with the Riot Shield after my K/D dropped.

I've been using that anti explosion mask with shield and simply watching for them to cock a grenade so I can switch quickly to my machine pistol. There's always more than one so I got screwed. :/

I saw a vid of a guy using Riot Shield, C4s and Scavenger. That was awesome.

I liked the campaing, it had interesting cut scenes and good maps but Ill have to say that the multiplayer is a bit broken.
Im sorry to say that lightweight pro, marathon pro and commando pro class with tactical knive is really noobish class and it makes the game feel broken sometimes.
It just isnt fun because you can just slide like 5m really fast and hit like 3 guys with tactical knive before somebody has the time to shoot you.
Another noob class is akimbo shotgun classes primary weapon sniper so you can run faster and get the camosuit, secondary weapon those models or rangers with akimbo.
perks: lightweight pro, marathon pro and commando pro.
And the multiplayer is mostly running around and dying and getting k/d=0 or camping where its like k/d=20+
Well its just logical to camp if you dont want to die -_-
But the multiplayer is fun if you get to server where other players are trying to complete the objective and not to camp and kill only :-(
ofcourse tdm is about killing.
Oh and not to forget the thermalscope, its just sad when you get killed by person who uses it and spots you from locations where you normally wouldnt be seen. That happens normally in the wasteland map.
There are good and bad things in the multiplayer, but its still fun and addicting game.

Use cold-blooded.

I use cold blooded  and it works pretty well, but doesnt really help with thermalscope because you can still see cold blood users pretty well with thermalscope :-(
Its good against heartbeat sensor and killstreaks

ehhhh no? Coldblooded makes you invisible to UAV, Thermalscopes and killstreak rewards. Ninja is what makes you invisible to heartbeat sensors

This game is terrible. Save your money and just play MW1. Not worth the $50/$60/$70 upgrade for so little. The only thing that makes it worthwhile is if you really like single-player.

Gotta love decimating airports as a CIA counter-terrorist guy trying to get in with the bad guys.

btw SPOILERS

I rather thought that the multiplayer was a pretty big jump from MW1, and the spec ops missions are a nice addition. I suppose it depends on what MW1 is going for these days.

Just got to first prestige. Now I can actually go for getting those nukes. Also, thermal sight is kinda hit/miss for me; being able to see through smoke and pick enemy snipers out of a crowded area is really useful (and throwing a smoke grenade in front of you as a precursor for killing an enemy sniper is a nice trump card), but it always seems to lag for me and it's a lot harder to hit moving targets.

I managed to get through an entire prestige by pretty much never using SMGs and only using the ACR as an assault rifle. RPD and Intervention are all I need. Also, if you're getting a horrible k/d ratio, play defense and learn to be patient. It's pretty much impossible to get awesome killstreaks when you're running into enemy lines all the time. Unless you're doing the knife class.

I got up to marksman VIII (1000 kills) with the USP .45 by rank 65. I knife too much.

After getting this shortly after Christmas as a delayed present, I have to say this is really awesome. (Never played much CoD before, more of a Battlefield person)
I've played so much multiplayer it isn't even funny. Running around holding akimbo FMJ G18s and akimbo rapidfire P90s is hilarious. I run around the map, and whenever I run into an enemy, I just unload an entire clip of G18 bullets into their face. :D
Xbox Live gamertag: Pyrokinesis1019 (what did you expect?)
I'm disappointed that this game does not feature fully destructible buildings. . . but that's because Bad Company has been what I measure all FPS games against ever since I got it.
