Yeah... some of us need to change the sound options before the game starts, because when it tries to load everything when the .exe opens, it goes "OH GOD, NO SOUND CARD?! I'M TOTALLY GOING TO CRASH ON YOU" and then it makes good on that promise.

That should definitely be included in the patch, unless your code is written in such a way as to make it difficult to turn all sounds off... in which case I'm am totally boneded. :'(

Some people have broken ones, or it might not end up in their list, even though they can have sounds. Support for this idea.

And I want to play it in the university computer labs, which don't have sound. My compy at home has sound. I'm no fool...

No, it's ok when you're in a university computer lab.

What DOES suck is when some people actually find a computer that randomly HAS a sound card... and then blast gangsta rap. And everybody is trying to do their Matrix Algebra or their Statistics or whatever (or play computer games, like me), with Lil' Jon or Chumbawumba or something blaring throughout the room. And the whiteboys in question are of course killing themselves laughing about some stupid "Ghost Rider" Youtube video or something...


Anyways. I quite enjoy the lack of sound cards on most lab computers. O_o
