What makes a game fun?
IMO I like realistic physics espicialy realistic fluids. Such as this Car Wash http://www.ageia.com/ (on this slide show in this middle of the page click 3 to see the Car Wash, click it to download) demo made by Ageia, the creators of PhysX Ageia

My interests in games change over time. Real-time physics are always good though.

Ratchet and Clank is without a doubt, the greatest game series ever. Although the names can be easily turned into sexual inuendos...

I played UYA, but not Deadlocked.
On a side note, I plan to get the Ratchet and Clank game for the PSP; Size does matter.

I chose crazy weapons as well. As people have said before, Ratchet and Clank FTW!
I never liked SOCOM for the generic weapons and absolute lack of stroryline. If a game has no storyline, then it doesn't give you a reason to finish a really hard level.
I love R&C for its quirky remarks and funny storyline. The game has you constantly laughing.

The reason why I did not add Great Gameplay is that the optiions already there make up good gameplay.
