Petition to increase sig length.
Sig length is much too short. And it counts the things between img tags as text. I say we increase it to 500.

You have my vote. I always make my sigs 250x500.. it's a little big, I know.. but yeah.. I've just mostly made em like that. I don't use a sig on here anymore.

I had to mix all my images together to save characters, which has wasted space and causes people to have to download more versions of what should be the same file. That means more bandwidth. I think we need a little upgrade. If their sig is too long, just make them shorten it. (I like to replace it with embarrassing things.)

Hay guy's sigs don't use site bandwith. They use the site you hosted them off of's bandwith. So unless you're hosting all your images at datarealms.com it's not going to use all data's bandwith.
Protip: Look up hotlinking. That's what img tags do.

That's why you have a thing called rules. No sigs over ##x## big. No sigs over 1.5mb. Etc.

Hmm i guess its about time i install a mod again, Theres a MOD/hack thats let admins control sig's so i guess thats what we are going to do. I was remotely connecting to my computer, and it felt like dialup on the computer, Still feels like that when i go to the site on the computer i am on right now.
Just a note, w/e this happens, its data who decides this. its not a diplomacy its a dictator-ship and data is the dictator.
We cant have everyone make a poll to see if we can bend the rules. Next thing we will see is "allow porn".

Is this really wise? Longer loading times, attension hauling gigantic sigs, bandwith usage 2x.
Compact sigs ftw

I do much like small sigs , One of the sites go to, blocks images in the sig. Maybe i may have to do that. let only a few people have pics in there sigs.

Read the thread. Learn what hotlinking is. It doesn't take datarealms bandwith, just the site hotlinked from. Gigantic sigs? RULES. RULES FIX EVERYTHING.

Text in a sig uses datarealms bandwidth, and even a bit of text can add up to a whole lot of bandwidth usage over time.

Oh lawd. There's more bandwith usage in the banner then a bit of text in a sig. Less than 2 kbs won't hurt.
