CC doesn't support RGB,Why?!
Hi everyone
Cortex Command is a cool Game and easy to mod too.
But why doesn't it support RGB colors?
I love drawing with Photoshop, but where is the Problem?

I think the game is meant to have an old school feel. The palette is only one more feature of an old-school experience. I do understand though, it can be annoying.
(PS: You spelled "Doesn't" wrong.)

I can tell you love drawing with photoshop...By looking at your sig and avatar.
It doesn't need RGB. 256 colors is fine. Most things drawn in PS wouldn't look that good with the game's graphics anyways.
But then again, we do need a working palette.act due to the one I found had much less than 256 colors.

Another reason for such a low pallete is it makes the game lag ALOT less than it would at 32bit, so if it were RGB then Data would have to seriously retardify the pixel-by-pixel physics (Think playing the game with the speed toned up) or else it would lag.

Thanks captain obvious.
Who cares if it doesn't support RGB anyway.. gives the colors an old school feel.

LOLOLOL U SPELT DONST RONG! Seriously though, I'd rather have less lag in the game than more colours.

The colors are sufficient too. It's not like we're restricted to shades of blue. Another thing is, 8 bit bitmaps are smaller in filesize than 32 bit ones.

It's a 256 color palette for a reason. Any more and the game would be slower due to more colors.
To calculate the bits, start with 2, then multiply times 2 for each bit after 1-bit.
8-bit: 256 Colors
16-bit: 65535 Colors
24-bit: 16777216 Colors
32-bit: 4294967296 Colors
Not sure about 32 bit, entirely, calculator plus brain power can cause errors.

... everyone else has been doing it fine. You don't need a whole bunch of colors to make good art.
