1. I've Played CC more than I've played GTA IV, COD 4, or Halo 3 combined. It's just plain old fun.

2. On the GrapHicz, what do you want from a 2d game? HDR and 16x AA?

3. Data can work on anything He wants.

4. Ant Attack sounds cool, I have some doubts, but WHO DOESN'T?

5. If you can swarm stuff with ants and drag them to the ground, I'm Buyin'

6. And 18 bucks is okay for a game you can mod. Did the price stop you from buying it? NO. I would have bought this game if it was even $60. It's just so fun.

7. Before you say it sucks, try some 2 player, same team, death level, with 9999999999999 gold. THAT.....IS.......FUN

I once managed to convince a friend to play with me. We had super strong actors and fought using various weapons and mapwipes. It was epic.

It looked like a crazy DBZ fight.

Post Re: ATTN:
wow guys, you seriously need to shut up... you decided to buy the game for the tremendously expensive price of 18 dollars... stop your complaining if the one person who has made it all possible wants to take a break and remake another game... its not the end of the world.. hes not going to give up on cortex, especially not after just adding 2 more employees onto the scene... plus, a build came out like a month ago, and im not exactly waiting on the edge of my seat for another one. Talk to me in a year without a new build and it might be different, but give Data some time

Please clarify.
3D modeling is "hard", IE, can take a lot of effort to produce something that looks nice, but you can use it in a lot of places very easily. Once done, it's done. Scaling it is no problem, and by definition works at any angle.
2D spriting is "easy", being around 64x64 pixels for the average CC actor, but you can only use that one sprite in one size and angle. Once you up the resolution or change the angle, say goodbye to your hard work and do it again, twice as big, at 45' to the horizontal.

No, no, no, no. 3D modelling is not harder, just the tools used to produce them are harder, however they may be more complex and require more work. However 2d has a LOT more detail than 3D, as textures get stretched and distorted when applied to the mesh.

Surely this depends entirely on the resolution of the textures in question. You should take into account that 3d models in most current games have a normal map texture also.

I don't think you can generalise 2d/3d games like that, only compare particular examples.

When I saw that picture, I thought it was going to be a cool Zelda Bomb Zombie Mod that Grif was making.

Then I saw the detail and the way that all the limbs fit together was too perfect for modding.

Then, Awesomeness occured.

All I meant by the whole 3D thing is that making a sprite is quicker, requires less skill, less crazy harcore programming, etc than making a 3D model, where you need even more skills, a crazy program, and (to top it all off) more sprites to make it look pretty.

to sum up: I find 2D spriting easier than 3D modelling.
