Post Mass Cannons....
Instead of posting another thread ill just use this for anything i make that uses mass... So i got the concrete cannon which is pretty fun, got a few updates im gonna do to it soon try to touch it up a bit sprite wise and stuff. If someone wants to do that I'd love it. Also how do you add custom sounds, i tried and it wouldn't load the file *yes file names were the same etc.* it was .wav and only a second long...

The Mass Cannon! Ever want to launch 100 lb. cannon balls at an enemy, but to afraid of the inevitable recoil? Now you don't have to! This very expensive, very powerful cannon works on a very old principle of weapons. Shoot something big, round, and heavy, very fast, and watch it rip through buildings, soldiers, whatever!

Fires 8 small balls, very inaccurate yet almost never misses your target. *1/8 hits, but that 1 is all you need* Can knock ships out of alignment or totally destroy them if fired from close enough. Can blast through thin walls, layers of crap. Not recommended for vertical firing, slow rate of fire, very long reload. I did this because it's pretty much 100% you'll kill whatever you shoot at, especially if you aim first. Costs 450g... Don't worry you won't need more than one =p

I used the sprite from the sprite dump thread, if anyone can get the copy of "blamwhoshclik" to play as the firing sound i'd love that! Finally, if you think this looks boring or whatever, just try it out, you'll love it.

Yeah, it's pretty win.

Though you can just call it the concrete ball cannon

or C.B.C which sounds totally super cool.


Also you can make it less ugly if you add secondary darker particles, but you probably didn't do that because you can't (I don't know if you can).

If you mean concrete then i can't change the particles no. All i could do is add in "wet" concrete so it would be dark and light, but then it'd just be a shaded mass of particles. Id work on it right now but i pretty much made the coolest gun ever, i just need to balance it and stuff, expect it soon.

Make the spread less spready. Add more weight to the particles to increase the CRUSH YOU powerz.

Well see there's 2 things i like to try and do with my mod, make a cool gun that isn't just like " BADOOOGE ALL YOUR GUYS R DED" and then try to do neat things with the stuff that came with the game, so just the basic cement particle. But yea i can do that it's easy, although if you want more "CRUSH YOU" power im releasing another mod soon, either tonight or tomorrow that will offer MUCH more crushing power but still be balanced.

I'm glad you guys have liked the mod in an hour or 2 i will release an update for it + my other mod, just gotta try and find some sounds and play around with the support offsets.

Haha nah i actually thought it up the second i took a shot with the Ccannon. After i saw a guy get crushed idk why but i was reminded of old civil war / whatever time period, grapeshot. Where they'd just fire a canister of big metal balls, so i just tried to get the same thing to happen and voila!

My next idea is an old one i had, i wish i still had the files but its an orb that you launch and it "sticks" *probably just gonna weigh a lot* and it has an emitter attached to it firing in all directions. It's sorta like a mine, im gonna read up on glow effects and stuff. I'm gonna try to make it resemble the flare gun from turok. Which shot an orb that'd stick, and if you got near it you got hurt. Then i want to try some kooky stuff with -mass. Keep an eye out!
