Also, translations in English for the nicknames of the units. I think that Kappa is some kind of will-o'-the-wisp-esque turtle monster thing, but I'm not too sure, and the turret's nickname sounds like sichii, which is 7 in Okinawan, but I doubt that's it because it's the D45 Heavy Turret.
Anyway, I like the whole Spec Ops turn this is taking.

Wikipedia; do you use it?

Those new names are really fancy, but what I like most are the explosions. Nice work!

Tengu - This is a more well-known one. Tengu are bird-like mountain spirits. Some depictions have them as mostly humanoid but with long noses. Others as mostly bird-like with slightly human attributes. Regardless, they are swift aerial creatures.

Kappa - Weird little frog-men that live in rivers. They tend to kidnap children and play pranks.

Akateko - A strange ghost that consists entirely of a small, disembodied hand that hangs from a tree.

Yosei - The Japanese equivalent of a fairy.

Shishi - The Japanese name for the pair of large, stone lions that often adorn the front of important Asian-style buildings.

Shinobi - Kinda obvious, but... originally, what we call ninja were called shinobi. A shinobi is a practitioner of ninjutsu. They weren't really called ninja until modern times.

Shogun - After emperors and aristocrats went the way of the dodo in Japan, the Shogun was the supreme military ruler of Japan. And thus, he was the supreme ruler of Japan in general.

Raiju - The bird companion of Raiden, which would come to earth in a lightning bolt. Raiden is the thunder god.

Yatagarasu - Ameterasu's three-legged crow. Ameterasu is the sun goddess.

Sorry if I described anything that was obvious. I just figured I'd cover all the points.

So that's why raiden was the thunder in the storm occurring when he was born...

Hello, I'd like to report a possible misspell.

I think you should make a tennō.
Which generally translates to emperor.
As like a brain unit.
I also can't wait to see what the shogun will be like.

I can't really see myself using the gunslinger in battle.

That's, uh, not misspelled.

I don't think you need Lua to do this. I found an old mod that regenerates. (Take a look at the attached file)

File comment: I think the regen is in the wounds code

I think Darlos is talking about something more like Halo's shields or something. Takes damage normally, then after a period fixes itself up to a standard level.

Would be awesome if he could do cqc, grab someone by the arm and rip it off or drop someone down on the ground.

Man, I'd love to do that to. Make it so my clones actually know martial arts, and can kick the crap out of people even when unarmed. Grappling would be cool too, yes.

Also, I kinda added the gunslinger for the heck of it. It's more of a "challenge" setup. Also, having four pistols isn't entirely out of the question, if that's all you're going to use. It's just keeping track of which is loaded that's a problem...

Also, Grif sent me this on IRC:

A man after my own heart. His idea for a helicopter is even similar:
http://bonez18b.deviantart.com/art/Old-Helo-Concept-22836811

Of course, his looks a lot better. I really like the idea of magazines that are flush to the gun somehow, as opposed to sticking out. Also, bullpup machine gun. WHAAAAAAAAT?!

Man, this makes me want to go back to the drawing board on my weapons... AGAIN.
