Post Mouse and Keyboard Are Unresponsive in CC.
I have no Idea what to do.
When I started CC one day with no alterations made to my preferences or control configurations and now the keyboard and mouse just stop responding for 10 seconds at a time, work for five seconds, and then repeat.

Any idea what's going on?

Well this happened to me as soon as I got B20.
Might just be our computers.
Use a joystick, it's not unresponsive, and it works.

This is crappy.
On the account that it DID work up until a week ago.
And I don't have a joystick.
I tried re-installing CC and it still doesn't work.

im having this same exact problem right now. all keyes and mouse dont work at random times. however i can control alt delete to a menu in vista. hitting cancel on the menu will sometimes fix it but just now i had to reboot to get out of the game. it cant be the keyboard or the mouse.

When that happens to me, I minimize and then restore CC.
Usually works, if it's no the same problem... I don't know.

What i mean is, Norton classifies Cortex Command.exe as a Worm virus.
I forgot what the virus name is, but i've done a google search on it.
Turns out people were having this problem too. Norton keeps blocking certain programs from accessing keyboard/system (Clean Programs! They even blocked World of Warcraft, Norton says Blizzard trying to hack people's PC..when actually it just wants to connect you to their server..).

I'd just use Avast! now. Cortex Command works fine with it, & it detects lots of malwares & stuff that Norton doesn't.. Take that Norton!

I don't think it's a problem with Norton because I've been able to use the keyboard and mouse until it suddenly stopped.
Also, like I said, it will work for some tiny windows of time and then go back to not working.
I tried DLing some firmware that allows me to use a PS3 controller with my computer but CC doesn't respond to it, even though my computer does.

Let me ask you this.
Do you open CC before you plugged the controller in?
Or do you do Vice versa?

Because you have to plug controllers in before you open any games/emulators.

I've had similar problems with an Xbox 360 controller, mostly along the lines of it repeating the last command over and over. If I had to guess, it's something to do with the drivers.
also roy's a ♥♥♥♥ idiot if you value your life and your reason don't listen to what he says unless it is verified by someone who isn't so damn dumb

I've always plugged in the PS3 controller and made sure the computer understood that it was a joystick before I booted up CC.

And I have the same problem with repeating the last command on my keyboard and mouse. If I actually do get into a game on CC, if I'm in the buy menu it'll just scroll through over and over and over.

I'm going to try reinstalling it for a third time.

Seems to be a mixed bag here.

My keyboard acts strange at times, and it doesn't function at all until I activate the right click menu, and drag over to the buy menu and use my keys in there, and all of a sudden it works.

It might have to do with the CC code itself, how long ago was the right click ring implemented? B16 right?

Ok I'm really starting to get irritated, here.
I've sent two e-mails now asking for help and I understand whoever would be doing the tech support is busy, but I paid for the "help the developer" version, or whatever, and I just want to be able to play CC again.

If anyone has experienced similar problems and solved them, please let me know. :[
