E. Juicer (Open Beta 0.8)
CherryT presents: The Electric Juicer An interesting weapon based on a drawing I did. Man has discovered how to liquefy electricity. This weapon (called the "Electric Juicer" by our testers) demonstrates the basic abilities of a mysterious compound known as Compound X. C. X has the ability to be charged electrically to the point where it takes on the characteristics of both electricity and a liquid. The compound is affected by gravity but is able to travel through any electric conductor, including flesh and metal. This makes the Electric Juicer extremely effective at destroying almost anything. Compound X is pumped through a stream of high intensity electricity and reaches the state of "electric juice," as some scientists playfully call it. This process also results in a short range stream of electricity which can damage most targets close to it. Unfortunately, this weapon also create an extreme amount of pushback when in use. Charging C. X to the high energy state often results in massive amounts of energy pushing back onto the gun, as well as a slight charging of the user itself. Extended use of the Electric Juicer may result in the user itself taking the characteristics of Compound X, burrowing into the ground and slowly descending to earth as if the user was a liquid, and, in some cases, death. It is not recommended to use the Electric Juicer in flight, or at any time where the user is not firmly planted on the ground. Videos: A demonstration of the Juicer against a large metal target. What's still to be done: - Effects: - The muzzle flash has not been added. - Better looking E. Juice particles (Recommendations accepted!). - Reloading sound - Weapon: - Find way to reduce knockback so the user isn't getting completely owned. It is fair right now, but it's likely that the user is going to glitch into the ground. I will take any comments you guys have about this. Remember, it's not completely done yet. I am putting it up because I need advice on how to improve it.

Sorry if the GIF looked like it was on crack before guys. This one's slower.

Downloading. If you achieved the effect it appears you have in the GIF, i'm very curious how you did it. Drat, guess not.
As for kickback, couldn't you just reduce the mass of the round?

That kickback is killer man. Even using it with heavier units like the KGB bot or the MPAM gives it a toss.
I can't really get it to work long enough to be effective.

I don't know if it's that lightning has become the new rage, or everyone has suddenly started watching Powerthirst videos on YouTube...

Hmm, Sounds interesting but the GIF doesn't really do it any justice. The sprite is kinda... ♥♥♥♥, also anyone wanna explain this to me in layman's terms, what makes this gun so special?

It looked like the entire thing was getting wounded internally at a constant rate. Perhaps an example of what it does to a hardier unit would be useful.

It seems to have a damaging effect seconds after it hits an object. Also, I see little blue things moving everywhere around the ship after it hits it in the gif.

Maybe, you could make it fire light particles that emit the other heavier particles, and give the emitters a very short life.

Re: E. Juicer (Open Beta 0.8)
@wutang, and anyone else who's wondering: It's pretty simple. It fires emitters. Emitters seem to defy the laws of physics when they're flying through the air. It had this effect before I turned off HitsMOs and GetsHitByMOs, which I'm not sure has an effect on the physics of emitters. They still hit the ground though. This weapon was originally designed to be sort of a defense tool: you could spray an area where you know enemies will be traveling and wait for them to walk through, sort of like a portable version of Control's old barbed wire fence, but I could not get the emitters to a point where they wouldn't rape terrain and kill or fly off randomly. The version I've got up (I haven't uploaded it yet) to now has greatly reduced knockback, but at the cost of damage per second. It's firing significantly less particles now and is kinda sucky as far as a short-to-medium range weapon goes. To kill anything, you need to be right up next to it at this point. I'll get back to you guys soonish with a better version I hope. @TFSR Yeah, it's very effective against huge targets, but not so much against small targets. Even at its current state, it should rape zalo's Massive Clone, for example. @extortion Quote: The sprite is kinda... ♥♥♥♥ I could take this as flaming. I could take it as constructive criticism. Make it constructive or you're getting warned.
