I've reduced the gibs on the grunts a bit, will be better in the next beta. :)

I love how for the ones that come prepackaged with weapons you even put different f-ing heads on them, like their huds and helmets were specialized for that weapon or something.


The only problem i have is that the limbs are way to weak, so they don't die they just become useless at 80% health.

I actually think the problem is that the torso is too strong, and killing blows are often absorbed by the arms instead of turning the Crobo to pulp.

seriously, lol, i'm getting the rocket trooper walking around armless with 98% health left... :roll:


does anyone notice there's the tank coded in a folder?... and sprites for the crobo rocket?

and the "goliath" crab mech thingy?

I just saw the goliath and it reminds me of the weird big thing with a dead AW in one of Capn's teaser topics.
And I think that's his 'Defense Turret'.

Beta updated again, please download Beta 2c

Tech/Troopers take more damage from breakwounds.

All foreground arms are now hitbymos = 0 which means bullets pass through them and hit the torso, should mean it's almost impossible for a crobo to lose his weapon arm now.

I feel the sacrifice of realism in this case was worth it to improve gameplay.

The mod is coming along great but one of the things that irks me is the lack of a sniper unit :/ We need a powerful sniper! I mean, the rocket launcher can be used as one but I want one that doesn't kill half the people on the map.

I'll just keep releasing betas till I feel that the mod is finished.

I'm happy enough with the quality now that this is will be the final incarnation of the Crobos in cortex command. I won't be starting from scratch again, I'll just convert them up between builds.
