Good idea. No it won't, lag causes the spontaneous deaths. Lower spawn rates = Less actors on screen = Less lag = Less/None spontaneous deaths

I just want to say that I use about oh I don't know maybe 3 TIMES the amount of mods pictured on page 1 and I've never encountered that problem with spontaneous explosions/damage.

FIVE MINUTES?
Good GOD, you say that like it's not a long time.
My load time is LESS THAN TEN SECONDS.

Re: Spontanious Actor Exploding?
This is slightly off topic, but while my load time is fine I experience crashes regularly in vanilla CC. It usually happens after about an 45-60 minutes of playtime. Any idea's as to what might cause this instability?
My load times are great and when I did start running mods crash rates didn't change noticeably.

My load time is LESS THAN TEN SECONDS. I think it is a small time considering a few things: A: I get to use a shitload of mods B: I said AT MOST 5 minutes sometimes even with all 212 mods it only takes about 60 seconds C: I can (and do) use the modmanager to turn off alot of mods, so I can play with any combination I like (I turn off 10x more mods than I use most of the time, but I use all mods frequently because I change around which ones load so much).

Re: Spontanious Actor Exploding?
I have 129 mods(base and promgrounds included), and use the hard KMF activities. I haven't run into a single problem that wasn't my own fault(dropping 10 mega mapwipes), even after 5 hours of constant gameplay(man that map was loaded...). So i doubt it is the activities cause mine is the same as when I got it, and from the sounds of it the mods aren't causing it either. So who knows maybe some variable and whatnot got messed up in a core file, and that is why this is happening. Just my two cents.
P.S. Just so you know I don't have a mega powerful computer. It's just XP with about 2.2 GHz, and 756 mb of RAM.

My load times are great and when I did start running mods crash rates didn't change noticeably. I have a very similar experience. I didn't get this problem in the demo because I never played for more than 6 minutes and I didn't get the problem before yesterday, but after installing a bunch of mods and playing for about as long as you mentioned, the game just instantly and seemingly randomly quits. I tried vanilla CC but it still happens to my surprise and distress. I guess I'll reinstall CC...

So that's how my computer can handle all of those mods. And to Radnom, I think that's just because at some point your computer ran out of ram to use, so it was either crash the program, or the whole computer. Aren't you glad it chose the first?

Aren't you glad it chose the first? I'm not too sure that's the problem because I have 760MB RAM with XP, and I wasn't running stuff in the background. I tried reinstalling CC and it seems to work OK so far but I haven't really played a massive CC game since. It's not too much of an issue anyway - short games are still fun.

Re: Spontanious Actor Exploding?
Dude when things get busy, If I open up taskmanager it says my RAM usage is usually between 1.5-2.5 gigs.
That's 2-4 times the RAM you said you had. I don't blame CC for crashing

Re: Spontanious Actor Exploding?
I always find myself modifying one little thing, and then restarting CC. A thirty second loading time would get me testing my patience.
Which is why I keep mine at around 15 seconds, with just a few smaller mods of my own loading.
I've got another unregistered copy for when I want to play with mod factions.

Re: Spontanious Actor Exploding?
You probaly know then how frustrating it is to mod a huge faction mod like I am doing now. It takes almost a minute for CC load on my pc everytime I restart it. This is why I tend to do multiple changes and adds at once to save time and nerves.
