Ok, would you like me to reference a different balanced sniper rifle? Hmm? THERE ARE NONE! It's not shameless advertising, I don't give a damn if people download them, it doesn't affect me because they're tiny and old as piss. And the problem with heavy Darklones is that they're unbalanced, not that our guns aren't able to go straight through anything with ease! Apparently other people's overpowered sniper rifles are all my fault. Shame on me for making those heavies. At first, my mod being somewhat of a standard was kinda cool, but now its just getting annoying since everyone seems to think my heavies mean that everything else needs to be ridiculous in response, and then other people get mad about that. A message to modders: balancing is nice, but in the end just do what you please.

You guys should use my squirt gun mod. You could totally do some damage to a heavy with that.

This isn't a DarKlone thread, guys. Riggers. Let's say it together. Riggers.

Thanks new guy.
Anywho, this still is a community project and updates are sorely needed. If anyone wants to add anything head on over to the development thread and see what kind of talent you'd want to add. The best part is, you don't have to worry about a whole mod. Just a small piece to add to the whole feeling of the Riggers. Think Synergy.

Re: The Riggers - April 05, 2008
Regarding the TC-Rifle, i agree that it is very powerful, but go ahead and have a look at its description, made by Ocular Bleeding himself: Ocular Bleeding wrote: Thunderclap Rifle- An extraordinarily powerful anti-material rifle used mainly by Tinkerers as the servo motors built into the joints of their powered armor allows them to carry and fire this weapon while on the move without difficulty. Armor means very little to this weapon. Many Riggers like to use this as an anti-infantry weapon, cackling with unimaginable joy as it rips the torso free of its target or turns a head into a light spray of red mist. Due to the size of the projectiles, a clip carries few rounds. Normally it's not an issue. This weapon is named for the explosion that resounds from the weapon when it's fired. Obviously not suitable for covert operations. It's a bloody anti-material rifle! The very LEAST you could expect is that it would penetrate a foot of dirt. It should be pretty obvious from the desc. that it would be able to pierce heavy armor (Without mentioning a certain heavy actor made by Darlos9D) with relative ease. I'll revise the code if the public demands it, but for now, it stays. Can't say if anyone else is going to change it though...

I don't see what the big deal is. I'm basing this all on the ideas I created in my head, and not really trying to create the most powerful army in the game.
The TC-Rifle is actually meant to be a powerful anti-vehicular weapon. It's just the sick buggers like to use it on infantry.

Gotta love brutality!
But really, it's fine if it goes through armour like hot butter (mmm), but a metre of dirt is too much, maybe a foot, but not a metre.

Re: The Riggers - April 05, 2008
I guess i overreacted earlier, but still, since when did CC get realistic? Also, the main problem with AP rounds is that if they go through armor, they go through everything else just as well. There just isn't a whole lot to do about it, it's how CC's engine works, i think. ... I'll try downloading the whole thing once i get home from school

Re: The Riggers - April 05, 2008
AP doesn't mean bullets that have 10,000 sharpness, it means bullets which have high sharpness, keeping in mind that mass also has an impact. They should be half as sharp at most.

Re: The Riggers - April 05, 2008
Well, the fact here is that the bullets sharpness is 10, not 10000. Having a sharpness of 300 on a bullet weighing roughly 1/3 kg would be overkill, believe me. I did take mass into consideration, or else it could have shot through the level forty times. I'm not that forgetful...
