After digging around, I found an old map I made about a year ago in hammer. I was just going to post links on #drlchat, but imageshack took too damn long. So, it's a topic.

I plan to make maps for GMod now, and my first question is..

What is the maximum map size for hammer?

I'm not sure the max map size. I think I heard 10024 units was the max or something, but gm_flatgrass is pretty darn huge...

Depends which max you want. Ep1 or ep2 max.

Well now that GMod was updated to the new engine, its probably the Ep. 2 size.

I'm learning how to make maps myself, and this one seems to have a few things I'd like to know how to make.

In hammer units..

16384 +/- map size for ep1. I think they doubled it for ep2. I'm pretty sure you could just open hammer up zoom out and make a brush from one end to the other and look at the number.

One Hammer unit = Inch

Wrong. 16 units is 1 foot. 1 unit is .75 inches.
