Re: The Riggers - April 05, 2008
Are the riggers themselves strong or weak?
I imagine weak from their skeletal shape.
Weak guys with uber-weapons.. That could work..
No download because I don't really play CC that much anymore anyway.

The riggers are in between a light-medium darklone. Their weapons are uber, but you have to pick the right one for the job. Against non-armored clones it's the fletchette. Against armor, Rifle v1 or TC rifle. Robots are easiest to take out with the nano deconstructor if you place it right. Usually picks off their head.

Re: The Riggers - April 05, 2008
some comments about the turret and pod:
The pod is small because it is made for just one person, i will make another, larger pod. The turret will explode if you shoot it enough, it is just a placeholder explosion though. The next turret will also have a 'self-destruct' feater in which you use the jet pack and it explodes. That or a shield.

Why not one of each? They both sound neato.

Re: The Riggers - April 05, 2008
I hate the TC rifle, cool gun, but it's just another "OMG SNIPER RIFLES CAN GO THROUGH A METRE OF ♥♥♥♥ DIRT!" gun.
Take a look at mine, they're probably underpowered, but they're quite realistic. More penetration than an AK, but not THAT much more, and each bullet is like 3 in one clump.

If anything, I bet a weapon like that could go through three feet of dirt.

Re: The Riggers - April 05, 2008
NO MODERN WEAPON CAN DO THAT. And likely no weapon ever will without making a massive crater, or being an absurdly powerful laser drill, presuming we're talking about a little hole.
And a metre is like more than 2 feet.

Re: The Riggers - April 05, 2008
Oh, I thought I said 3 metres, sorry. And I already explained that, even the most hardcore armour penetrating weapons couldn't go through a metre of dirt without completely destroying it, it's physically impossible.

It's not just about realism, it's stupid and overpowered to be able to shoot the enemy brain through their whole bloody base!

Last time I checked it was designed to pick off Heavy DarKlones, and for Christ's sakes, stop advertising your mods with your "Hay guyz, d/l my mod to see how it done lololol" crap.

Enough guys.
The TC Rifle was modified recently, I'll see if shook wants to have another look at the code. If not, then the Rifle isn't going to get changed.

Ok, would you like me to reference a different balanced sniper rifle? Hmm? THERE ARE NONE! It's not shameless advertising, I don't give a damn if people download them, it doesn't affect me because they're tiny and old as piss. And the problem with heavy Darklones is that they're unbalanced, not that our guns aren't able to go straight through anything with ease!
