Loving this stuff. Can't wait for the garbage shambler, sounds beastly.

Post Re: SCRAP Series - Update 21st March
I really like the garbage freighter idea.
In my opinion, it should dump hundreds of small gibs very rapidly from many exit offsets along the bottom of the space between the doors.
A good way to make it look just absolutely terrible would be a completely asymmetrical design. I mean to the point were both engines have completely different emissions, flashes, sprites, offsets, and styles. Even weight and thrust power differences, to the point where it's somewhat hard to fly. The doors should also be asymmetric. Maybe it could even come pre-equiped with some wounds, that would really make it look thrown together.

I also like the garbage titan idea, and I agree that it's gun should just fire some random heavy object, like a fridge. And that fridge should break apart on impact, to show that even the ammunition is throw together and improvised.

Another suggestion for this would be a droppod, something like my crate. That would make them seem so worthless that they're just thrown in something that's just going to fall to the ground and break, for their pitiful entrance to the battlefield.

Anyways, about what you have so far, I like it, they're sort of like what I was expecting of the rag tag faction, but only mechanized.

The feel of using a SCRAP with a scrap cannon to fight off an inattentive skeleton is very fun, worrying that it might see you, when you used to think very little of those same pawn like, insignificant foes.

Sometimes it's fun to play as something that can't guard the base from enemies by simply standing in front of the door unarmed. (Looking at you, MPAM)

But I don't like the wounds. They look great, but they aren't fitting with the theme and feel of this mod. They make it look like they're exploding with power and energy on the inside, yet otherwise you make it seem like they're just barely functional. There should be big leaks in their energy when they're shot, but they shouldn't have nearly that much energy in them to loose.

I also don't like your explaination for their identical designs. That makes them the same as other robots, but just made from recycled materials. I was thinking their production would be something more like macgyver with a bloodthirst and a junkyard.

Personally I think the wounds make sense. In the time period CC is set in things like fission power plants and the like would be cheap and outdated and would probably be found in the shadier junkyards. So scrap robots may in fact be powered by worn and unstable fission power plants, which produce a healthy amount of excess power.

And would explode violently if breached.
Also fusion, nuclear, plasma generators, things like that.

Although it'd be VERY hard to surpass fusion, fission, and nuclear power in terms of efficiency.
I'm pretty sure they're all 100% efficient, and for the amount of fuel they use and waste they produce, they are incredibly powerful energy sources.

Nuclear is efficient for 10% of the radioactive rod (I forget what the material is) then it drops to about 70 something percent efficiency which is losing power. The remaining rod they used in the reactor is highly radioactive. I don't think this is all correct, but..

What about making a bunker module with something of the sort, that when it explodes releases radiation (hurtful glowing green pixels that linger). I dunno, just an idea.

I'm not sure about nuclear, but I know fission has 100% energy release, but it wouldn't be fully transferred into electricity.

Anyway, for radiation check out Orc science (sig), the Thorium Fission bomb has radiation residue.
(which anyone may feel free to copy)

I smell shameless advertising.

Otherwise, I think the above idea about cyborg coalition troops would be pretty cool.

I'd like to see a huge dumpster-type crab thing. Think Zalo's Massive Crab but with a big, armored dumpster on top and some sort of electric/plasma weapon.

It's not shameless, I worked really hard getting that radiation just right, and it'd be great if people copied my idea.
The function is marvelous.
