Post Animating recordings
I recorded a bit of action by holding print screen, now how do I animate it?

The recorded frames will be in your Cortex Command folder, named testdump000 through testdump999. You will need to regularly clean out these frames if you want to make new recordings.

Simple put the frames into a program that can animate. Game Maker, for example.


Data mentioned a recording feature being on the way, but not very soon.

Honestly, Game Maker isn't the best program.

Alternatives are Camtasia, Beneton GIF Animator, or really any return you get from googling "GIF Animation Program".

They should be somewhat more straightforward than Game Maker.

Just dont bother paying for anything you find, because there's always a free alternative that's just as good.

I personally use VirtualDub. It's a great program for making quick gifs. YOu can crop, resize, and thats about it :P nothing more is required for me.

VDub is one of the best, yes, but you can't "crap"... You can crop though.
It's got tons of special effects too.
I personally use it + Avisynth (which is a bit overcomplicated, I don't recommend you bother with it)
