Great idea! But it's still being developed...

Also, it's being designed to run on a Microsoft Windows RTE, not an Xbox 360 RTE. I'm sure that he could probably clean up the code to make it more portable, but let's let him finish the game first.

Thats a good idea, but I dont really know if I want CC to get big and commercially. Look at what happened to Runescape, for an example, it was great at the beginning, small, had a nice community ect.
Then it went huge, and started costing to pay for the good version of it, and the majority of people that play it have an IQ under the room tempature.
Now if Data was to start making money off of it, he would do what would make him the most money, not what HE wants to do.
It's like teachers, they are very important, but they don't get paid much, why you ask? Because if teaching paid good, everyone would be a teacher, and not teach because they want to. It wouldn't be good for the students.
In my opinion, CC should stay local, small, and friendly.

I agree with Jack. CC shouldn't go commercial.

I agree with J the Llama and Kelas. CC was made to be free in the first place, plus Micro$oft would take ownership of it and not allow it to go on PC.

I think that CC going big could only help the game. It would probably get help from Microsoft and it would definitely get an online multiplayer .

But it is made for the pc, not Xbox 360. It only uses the controler because it is usb. It would work on any console, but your not talking about that....

It would be a good idea, but I despise the Xbox 360.

We're going to complete the pc versions first. Then, perhaps we'll approach the XBLA team and see what happens. I understand they are swamped right now though, and have a long launch queue. CC is being designed to be relatively easily portable to any console.
I'm going to write more about this later in an announcement, but the final release version of CC is going to be shareware. However, the free trial will only be feature-limited (as opposed to time limited), and it will have more stuff than the current test builds anyway. If you want a full campaign and some other bells and whistles, you can pay the reasonable price, and help Data Realms to survive at the same time.
This may come as a disappointment to some who thought all future versions of the game would be completely free, but the reality is that we simply can not continue to make games if we can't pay our rents and living expenses.
More about this later!
