Post Rpg suggestions?
Hi, i just wanted to ask if anyone could recommend some good role-playing games for me. I'm somewhat tired of opening gmod, flinging something into a wall, shooting Breen in the head, closing gmod, opening cc, flying a rocket at mach 5 through a series of dropships, closing cc, and repeating. (Not to say that cc or gmod are bad games). Anyway, any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

are you looking for mmorpgs or reg. rpgs?
there are a few free mmorpgs like Silkroad, Knightonline, Anarchy Online (good, basic content is free but expansion packs offer more, even with just basic it offers more than most)

or some people swear by Runescape, (browser based) but I think its crap

Which GW expansion do you think should i get? I know my friend has nightfall (can people with different expansions play together?) but i'm not sure. Btw thanks for the answers. I kept checking this thread all throughout the day and finally I got fed up and went out and bought Fury without checking what it scored on ign. Crap.

You need the Original Guild Wars in order to play the game at all (Im pretty sure at least) Expansions Just add more content to the game like armor, weapons, quests and places. Yes I believe you can play with players that have different expansions.
Expansions are something you buy if you like the game and you want to get more out of it. Like all the add-ons for oblivion.

Bah. Fallout is simply the best rpg ever made.
I've completed it five times, found the UFO once, and once I didn't kill anyone!
Sure, its full of gore, horrible graphics (that fit in quite well), nudity (especially fallout 2), swearing and two-headed cows, but still best rpg ever made.

I don't really play RPGs but it sounds to me like you just described the best RPG ever.

Hey, a game where you live in a violent post apocalyptic world be bad?
Especially if its got the most gory death animations of all time? The simple answer is: No.

All the expansions are stand-alone except for Eye of the North. Also, GuildWars owns. Also, you can't really play with him if you have a dif. expansion. Only PvP etc. but you can't get in his campaign (expansion) and help him with his missions.

Everyone should already have fallout if they don't they must be new to these things called "video games".

Also Nox. Nox is extremely fun, and multiplayer. It's like Diablo 2, but free.

Not warez, abandonware etc.

EVE Online. Stunning game. Stupidly big, tons of stuff to get into - real working economy that's going into a recession I think.
