I can asure you all that it IS real, its just that no matter how much i work on it, it feels like im getting no where... so ive been working on some of my other projects

I never doubted you,
I mearly pointed out that, if you are lying THEN you are awsome at photoshop
that was in response to people doubting your abilitys.
i'm merely stateing that, no matter what is actualy done,
you are still damn good at it,
better than about 90 % of the rest of us (data being an exception to this, possibly 1 or 2 specific modders)
i dont doubt your codeing, but, should doubt come up, good can still be said.

i personaly believe you ARE coding, and stuck, or just bored.
i tried makeing something simmilar in visual basic and went "well F*** this" and quit before posting about it.
and all it amounted to was the equivilant of a bunch of find commands,
which means duplicate variables in a file (how many WEIGHT are in ammo.ini?)
it just f-ed up alot, and i gave up.

its another reason i suggested makeing it export each instance as its own file, to be loaded in order.
but it means troubleshooting would SUCK so bad. especialy if/when you get to actors.

yeah yeah, duke nukem forever has been in the makeing for what, a decade at this point?

this is bordering on a few WEEKS
i think it was my suggestion to break it into smaller programs so that its easyer to add to...
so...
since he said he's doing that,
he pretty much had to start over.
but of course all he has to do is copy code and do it in segments,
so it will be done faster, but he has to do it all over again.
so the fact that its not out yet is my fault.

me and my suggestions to make everything perfect and how...
its gonna make it so that nothing's ever finsihed.... T_T

um...
can we at least get periodical updates on what you have done,
so we can estimate how long till you release something?
like, every day or so, say:
"i have the do-hickey working with the whosey-whatsit, and the dingly-bopper is all fluttery, but i can fix that with photoshop... stupid pal formats, go NTSC DAM IT! and all thats left is the hooba-joob and the dingle-doo"

and we'll know that you have 5000 lines of code and the dingle-doo will be done and everything will be ready for post for the weap-ed and then you can update us on how long till the special TDExplosive and MOSRotateing ammo expansions are ready, so that the whole jumbled up mess of nonsensical words for un-named or unknown named thingeys, will get more un-named thingeys.

just...
tell us every once in a while, more than once every 5 days,
about how much work is left.
and weather or not its going slower...
i think we're all getting nervouse jitters checking back every few hours.
i am... but i do that for all my posts.

I havnt really done anything in the last 2 weeks, i just finished all my scholl work and just got on school holidays and i just got a job, and i have other projects to work on and i dont really play CC anymore so its pretty low priority.

I might get it to a level where it will work decently and release a demo or somthing. Maybe even the source so somone else can finish it.

Are you going to have Tool Tips for each section like, eg
'Rate of Fire' - How fast the gun shoots, the higher the number blah blah ect

'Partical Count' - I have no idea what this does...

RTFM!!!

Anyway "partical count" is the number of particles, if we are talking about weapons its most likely the number of "bullet particles", which are ejected each time the gun is fired.
You can use it for shotguns, which fire lots of particles in a defined angle; or to make a bullet "seem" stronger, by ejecting several particles, at the same time, in the same direction.

this project that everyone's been looking forward to, that would have revolutionized the game,
is now scrapped and forgoten, like antioch chronicles for starcraft, and duke nukem forever.
