It's not going to be in boxes in Target. He's probably going to have a completely online sale. It's easier, faster, and cheaper for everyone involved.

Re: Data IRC Log If you're going to make it 50$, then perhaps you should find some additional means of distributing it, such as XBLA, Steam, retail, etc. I doubt people would want to shell out 50$ for a 2D game, no matter how advanced some of it's elements seem.

Steam is not meant for only large-scale games (although that was the point of its original design). Its completely outgrown its moniker of "distribution service" to become a complete cyberstore.
Also, steam is not bad.
