Played it on my stepbro's 360.
So, I was playing, started a new game, got through the crash scene, and then sat in the water for a minute, waiting for something to happen. I couldn't even tell it was gameplay; it looks that good. I know! It took me a minute to figure out I could move, I thought it still was the cutscene...

Re: BIOSHOCK
I tried the demo on my lagtop. I only could see some effects, nothing else was viewable though.

Re: BIOSHOCK
I have the PC version on a fairly new PC with updated drivers and it crashes the computer at the loading screen after the first bathysphere ride unless I set the graphics settings all the way down.

Re: BIOSHOCK
Try to update your drivers again. IIRC the same thing happened to me, once I updated it worked fine.

Re: BIOSHOCK
yeh this game is probably one of the best fps's in a while, great story and graphics. theres some people who hacked the game and found what the downloadable content was gonna be, new plasmids and tonics.

The reason a lot of people love it (including me) is that it has RPG elements. There are 70 dofferent Plasmids, and there are tech trees. Every FPS with RPG elements has pretty much sucked so far. Basically, it just works, and it's fun. I could just as easily say the Halo 3 is your basic shooter. That's because Halo 3 is your basic shooter and only fanboys truly like the halo series(Seriously the storyline's just boring now). Omg dofferent plzmidz waow that r rly worth securom aids and is totlly n excuze 4 havin 6 "enemies" if you count dems cameraz. lol, It's hilarious how your the only person who doesn't like the game. You're allergic to good games Crapper, my dad won't let me get the game all because he heard the word "bi-otch" in the demo (look at my sneaky way of getting around the filter). I told him the Gears has much worse (because he let me buy gears for some reason) but he's still so pissy about it.

Is it just a Seattle thing to find that mentality weird?

Re: BIOSHOCK
I can't even play Bioshock. So many bugs and crashes that i can't even start the game, and no patches or help from anyone.
Also, the water effects are above average. I have seen much better though. The rushing/moving water is good, textures and what have you are great, but the splashes suck ♥♥♥♥. Where's the ripples? Where's the distortion? Oh yeah, I played the demo, so I know what the water effects look like. Meh.

Out of all the games I've played recently, Bioshock has some of the greatest water effects unmatched in my opinion. I saw plenty of ripples and distortion when I walked through the waters.
