Post Campaign & other Misc. ideas
I'm Pretty Sure you (DATA) aren't even thinking about Campaign But Here's a few suggestions

1.Bosses-like a huge Clone/Robot/craft with guns
with about 100,000 hp that's super ultra powerful that you would have to send your Army you gathered just to kill it

2.unlockable deployables-like minigun is locked in all modes(including multiplayer)
and in campaign you find minigun and it's unlocked in all modes

3.turn off gibs-like you kill a green clone, his head doesn't pop off
and you could keep throwing frag grenades to keep moving the lifeless body

4.riding a craft-it's not what you think. jetpack on a dropship (or a rocket that is moving sideways=door is up)and it Drives to enemy base. Perfect for like "Raid enemy Train" Where you go on a dropship and it catches up to the train and you "Jump" off the Dropship

That's all i have

1. No. Arrgh. That's horrible.
2. They'd be pretty easy to hack into the game from the start anyway, unless the code changes drastically.

Data and Pometheus are planning a compaign, some of it was already laid out, but I think it's been scrapped. Something about factions.

Make it like Dynasty Warriors 5:Empires' Empires mode.


Essentially, in DW5: Empires, the campaign mode was sort of like Risk: you would be shown a "world map" that showed different territories. Some territories were controlled by computer players, some territories were controlled by you, and some territories were up for grabs. Each turn had two phases: the strategy phase and the battle phase.

In the strategy phase, you could assign different "policies" to your territories that would reinforce your generals, add special units to your stock, and give you money.

In the battle phase, you would send your generals into another territory. If it was occupied or another player was trying to occupy it, a battle would ensue and it would go into regular DW5 gameplay. If it wasn't occupied and you were the only one trying to capture it, you would automatically gain the territory. There was also a chance of events occurring like (for example) all leaders in a specific area being conscripted into a battle against rebels.


If this was adapted to CC, it would make for an awesome (and incredibly replayable) campaign.

Isn't CC somewhat of a strategy game to begin with, what with base building and all that?

CC only just got base building, though.

Anyways, who knows how the story will develop; several updates to CC have actually rendered old thoughts on the story obsolete.

There is no stratagy.

All it is buying a gun and killing everything with.

Most strategy I have ever used is blocking the way to the brainvault and shooting the engine of a dropship to kill stuff underneath it.

Dude, you use strategy a lot. Startegy entails implementation of previously gained knowledge to gain an advantage. And I pulled that off the top of mah head.

The forums used to have a more in depth devlog sorta thing. It showed what they had in mind for campaign. At that time (May have changed since then) the game was going to be a series of scenes with win requirements, like collect a certain amount of gold, or recover an artifact, eventually leading you across the planet and to the moon. Also, supposedly you were to uncover an ancient robot army underground which you also had to stop. I heard the words "NES era difficulty" at one point. Scary.

The original campaign idea seemed cool. Since then, DATA has said that they have changed many of their ideas for the campaign.

lol data should play a joke on all of us for the next build.
It should say in the devlog "Blah Blah Blah...and Now there is a a Campaign...Blah Blah Blah" and everyone will be like "OMG this is totally awesome!" Then to come find out when you click the Campaign button on the menu it pops up a window saying, "Ha ha just joking."

Although that sounds cool aout the original campaign.
It would be nice to have different game modes.
