Re: NO SKELLIES (petiton)
I think that instead of taking skeletons off, we need to make less of them appear, and then make them into boss like figures.
If we can edit the AI in later builds, I say we should have a 'SpawnRatio' for each actor. Skeletons should be more dangerous, with better weapons than the terrible Blunderbuss. Clones should be the most frequent enemy that has nothing special about it. Robots should be extremely hard to kill.

delgado wrote: ok dude im makingsprites for the skelleis so they r better, and tht thay bleed, sorta lioke a half finished clone/ half bloody clone and have bloody skellie. and no i dont suck at cc,i just want more juicy actors tht bleed, and i want a realistic game not somezombie crap. thts just my opinion Then you hate Quake which means I hate you. Fun > Realism. Remember that. And work on your spelling, no-one is going to take you seriusly if you spell it like <that. Now.. Clones: Bleed slowly after being shot, which makes them weaker. They are also weak and fleshy which doesn't help. Robots: Do not bleed, but sometimes still loose life from wounds. Hard to kill, but worthless against a shotgun or some kind of sniper (heatshot). Skellies: Die very easily under any circumstances, but never stop attacking. Think of these guys as attackers. Clones: Balance. Robots: Defense. Skellies: Damage. Without skellies we lose the balance of attack and defense. We don't need to get rid of them. Infact, I think we need another skeleton style actor, we've got 2 clones and 2 bots, why not 2 skeletons?

Re: NO SKELLIES (petiton)
Wow... just the thought of this thread is insta fail.
Honestly, Skellies are the best part of the game IMO. They may seem weak at first, but after you realize that each aircraft drops off four at a time, they become extremely deadly. Besides, DATA already said that he would add more weapons and actors in the final build. Stop whining and learn how to play the game. Because honestly, if you suck so much at CC that you are asking the developer of the game to take out the enemies for you, then you sir fail at life.
DATA, don't listen to this guy, skellies are fine the way they are.

Re: NO SKELLIES (petiton)
I have an even better Idea. How about before you go in to battle you can choose what type of enemy you want to fight. Instead of having to killtons of Skellies some green clones and a few robots, why not choose to kill blue clones some super mech that someone else made and one of you own actors? You can choose how often they appear. So instead of killing endless skellies and clones you can fight 20 robot 1's then a Super clone appears with 10,000 health that forces you to get out the heavy weaponry and change tactics. Edit: If Data is looking at this thread plz comment back

Re: NO SKELLIES (petiton)
I'd much rather shoot a clone than a skellie but I like them, they added a new feel to the game after they were put in! If they were as juicy as the clone than I'd love that but I don't want they completely obliterated!

Re: NO SKELLIES (petiton)
Skeletons rock.
Yes, they're annoying. Yes, they overwhelm you easily. Yes, they're hard to kill.
So? They're fun. As 3 solid said, Fun > Realism. After all, the objective of videogames is that, fun. If videogames took the extreme realism way, we'd end up having games identical to real life itself, wich is exactly the opposite objective of videogames.
I don't even know why I got so off topic, but meh. Skeletons are there for a reason, live with them. Practice. Develop your tactics. Make or get mods to help you out if you need help.
Or just take them out swapping instance names.

If you don't like skellies, find my Skellies to Green clones mod.
