I was trying out the resolution mod found at viewtopic.php?f=23&t=6743&hilit=Resolution
and I found that a vertical split screen would be much better, so you can't see as far across the map like in the origonal resolution.

Is there a way to change split screen to vertical instead of horizontal? I saw something in the settings.ini but it didn't seem to change anything for me.

CC used to be vertically split. It was horrific. It's hardcoded to be horizontal now, despite changes. And, anyways, how is it unbalanced? If you're playing 2player, he can see just as far as you can.

It's so you can't see the whole map, more fog-of-warish
vertical splitscreen with a high resolution means you can see just as far as in if you had the normal resolution.

And vertical would srysly screw you over.

You guys do know i'm talking about the high resolution mod, right? How would the vertical splitscreen screw you over when you have such a high resolution? I just want to have the same veiwing distance as if I had the normal resolution.

So, I'm guessing those lines of code saying
HSplitScreen = 1
VSplitScreen = 0
mean nothing then?

I KNOW THAT! BUT MOST OF US DONT USE IT!
And no, vertical splitscreen is fail and un-needed

For those who DO use it, is there vertical splitscreen?
god, the direction the screen is split can't be THAT fail, so is there a way to do it or not? If there is I would still like to try it and see how it works with the high resolution mod.

Why not just take off the high res mod, and play normally. As an added bonus, there's fog of war horizontally and vertically. Jolly good fun

No, theres only 2 teams

Don't worry dudes, we're working on supporting all resolutions that your comp can hndle (including really weird ones... 480x640 anyone?), selectable from the options menu. The game area will scale to fill it out.. just takes some work.
