Alt+Tab = Reset? O.o
Sigh, well, ever since Build 16 (which wasn't that long ago), whenever I tab out (run in windowed obviously) to reply to a MSN convo or if a window pops open and switches to it, and I go back to CC, the game goes back to the main menu! It's frustrating! Sigh. Is it fixable? I don't want to have to restart every time I must minimize, I minimize/tab-out a lot. This sucks =\ Edit: Ya know what? I just noticed the resume button. Lol! My bad

Hmm well I guess apart from that, when I open a fullscreen app (or sometimes FireFox) and return to the game.. The game won't run, unless I click and hold the top bar, and as soon as I let go, it becomes unresponsive again, and I have no choice but to start over -.-

Re: Alt+Tab = Reset? O.o
Which reminds me, this feature should be on/off option. I sometimes want to just activate for example my irc client, write a line, then continue playing, without any difficult "resume" buttons to deal with.

Oh give me a break. Its a two-second mouse drag and one click. Its not that hard for you to do.

We can make an option for whetehr to pause the game, or let it run in the background even when the window loses focus...

I notice that if you pause, then come back, the dropships get all the thrust from the time it was paused.

That would be lovely, I've always wanted to let it run in the background, specially when it's loading. I did some checks and it seems the game gets pushed into PageFile indeed if I run another fullscreen app such as another game or play a full screen video, but seems to have problems coming out of the PF and just keeps going inactive as soon as I stop clicking the menu bar at to. It also makes the desktop flicker if I'm running winamp at the same time.

I think he meant the game itself, not the load screen.
For those of us that create mods, the "Alt+Tab to pause loading" feature gives us an "ohshii I forgot something" button.

Well, if there was an option in settings.ini (the actual file) for example: Quote: AllowBackgroundOperation = true/false But by default it's set to False, and then that way those (like me) who like having it run in the background can just flip it to True, and everyone's happy

Re: Alt+Tab = Reset? O.o
Yeah that would be great because It's pretty tedious to wait for CC's inis to load... And you can't leave it in the background running, so you have to have CC running and wait for all the inis to load. It would be better to enable it to load in the background while you are doing something else, besides of wasting your time and looking at a green screen with words and numbers saying "Loading xxx.ini...."

Re: Alt+Tab = Reset? O.o
If CC takes too long to load, get rid of your mods, or at least most of them.
Virtually all do the same thing anyways.
