//offtopic - Because you're not even posting in this forum, silly :). Some get more activity than others.

Ontopic, though, I'm wondering whether or not you drew the teensiest bit of inspiration from Halo's EQB (?) units or Ratchet and Clank's Deadlock armor. It looks pretty similar :). Can't help with your leg problem, though. I'm not much of a spriter. You could try to graft some robot legs on, then some modified green's on the arms - play him off as a cyborg.

That's a cute sprite... if he'd have tiny arms and legs and he'd move slowly,
he could be a micro-pet or something.... nevermind
Why don't you make something like rhino/elephant legs?

Make it look cooler (my personal opinion) and have emphasis on steam pipes, wires, and tubes that somewhat stick out. It will make it look cooler. :o
