Re: Has anyone made a simple rocket propelled grenade launcher y
Yes, it's a real pity you can't fire things with emitters, otherwise it would be easy.
The way we sort-of got it working was to make the shell casing for each round have a negative velocity (so it would fly forwards, and hit the actual round), and make it sharp. Then you'd make the round spew thrust particles when shot, so the casing would trigger a rocket-propelled-ish trail for the round.
Unfortunately, the round had to be very big for it to work; and even then, sometimes it would just fire the unignited shell, which was a bit rubbish.

Even more peculiar was the RPG that had a good chance of blowing up in your face or not at all.

The calliope-style one that sat on the user's shoulders and fired tons of randomly-going-places rockets? That was absolutely hilarious. And yes, it did explode in your face quite often, but sometimes it worked! Someone should dig that up. EDIT: This one! Damn, that was funny. I wonder if we could cajole amrobotics into updating it, if it's possible? It could be a test to see whether the "emitter" trick works better or worse in B14...

Re: Has anyone made a simple rocket propelled grenade launcher y
That one by amro is the same as my randomly propelled grenade just more accurate(mine used tracers, his used shells). I meant the first RPGs ever made, there was no ImpulseGibLimit, instead, it fired a round and a trigger round, when the main round hit something the trigger would catch up, hit it, and the resulting wound would make it explode. However, it had to be held somewhat steady and if you were moving...

Ahhh, those old days. I remember being really happy when I found out that gibbing meant bombs that exploded on impact.

The explosion on that thing is a little funky in B14. No matter... I'd kinda hope the rockets would be all but perfect if they didn't rotate.

My rockets are silly because I wanted them to be, you can do some edits to fix it for straight flight...

Uh, the M79 in mods is a straight up RPG I think like.

No, but it goes straight, adding a trail is fairly simple...
Theres probably at least one B14 trailed RPG.

Hmph. You had my hopes up there. ¬_¬
I was working on one for Build 13, it was actually a proper RPG-7 (the russian one). It travelled in a straight line with a neat trail... when the trail appeared, that is, which was hardly ever.
I'm not sure whether I still have it or not. I'll check.
