Don't flame me for this thread, saying there are tutorials out there for this, I actually pmed Inane with my problem with the mods, and he couldn't help me. for any mod I have downloaded (in the correct place and everything) it just says something like this-
Abortion in file ./Main.cpp, line 175, because:

Failed to load Data Module: USC.rte

Make sure it contains an Index..ini file that defines a 'DataModule"!
The last frame has been dumped to 'abortscreen.bmp'

I have checked, and the file does have an index.ini and everything, and I deleted the original file after I extracted it.

-is incredibly happy- I figured it out, it was the simplest thing XD. They always put the .rte folder in another folder, and I never thought of taking it out until now, thanks for trying to help, though, 3solid.
Edit-ack, I just realized now I need help again, for most of the mods I download, I get it as a php and nothing else if it has been rar'd, and I don't know how to get past that >.<

Get winrar. That opens rars up so you can get the yummy yummy mods inside.

Winrar won't open up .php files though.
If you're downloading those, it's probably because your browser doesn't recognize .rar (or .php) files, and is downloading the wrong thing. Get a better browser.
