Post Is there any way to make the head not move/rotate?
I want the direction the head of an actor is facing to be relative to the direction of the body, not the direction the actor is aiming in.

Any way to achieve this?

Make the head a single pink pixel, and add the head sprite you have to the body sprite.

Grif's Back! And yes, Grif's theory works. :D That's what I did with my tesla trooper.

That would work, yes, but I need the head to have a different material, and gibs.

I think you can add the gib code to the torso, meaning it would gib a head-gib. About the materials part, I don't know.

The only thing I can think of is making the head symmetrical.

THis thread confuses me, the heads always face the same way as the body.

He means he wants it to not lift when he aims in a direction. Get a green clone and an smg. When he aims up or down, the head pitches.

Wouldn't jointstiffness break his neck if he tried looking up or down?

Just increase the Joint Strength til' it doesn't, if it even does it, which I doubt/

If joinstiffness did make the joint stiff (....) then the actors head would snap off if he tried looking up or down because his head is supposed to follow the aimer.
