Post Game Engines?
I want to possibly get an engine/game maker program, but I have no idea which one. For the record I have MSVC++ and J#, along with Java. I'm just wondering if there are any decent game engines or game makers out there, with any luck without expiring licenses.

I thought that on a dev forum I might get intelligent information on the pros and cons of a few.

You might want to try Blitz Basic, it's a fairly easy to learn but powerful coding language.

http://www.blitzbasic.com

Get the Blitz3D demo, it has the 2D features plus 3D functions, and no time limit. However, it only opens 16 kb source files.
