is it me or are mods getting worse?
in the past few months mods have been getting crap.
Every time I go on the forum its yet another NEW person posting ANOTHER laser gun or shitty actor that looks like it should be in space invaders.
I used to go on the forums and see a new mod by, say, amrobotics or couchcaboose and they'd be awesome. but now its the same ♥♥♥♥ every day, hardly anything new or anything with more than 2 minutes thought and effort
It makes me want to give up on CC until the next build!

Hey, stop complaining. People make mods to play CC with. If they like their mod, they will post it. Why don't you make your mods and then play with CC.
I have a ♥♥♥♥ load of mods that I haven't released. Other people might not like them, but I sure do, and that's why I made them.
So stop complaining and make your own mods to play CC with. It's not hard, and I bet it'd be fun!
It's always good to learn!
BTW: New CS mod content updated. go search forum for it.

Almost every mod I've seen since B14 was out I've downloaded, the ones I haven't either suck (rare) or just aren't what I'm looking for. The mods are fine.

I see alot of "First mods" lately
Dont release your first mods people, unless they are something truly special that will conquer everyone (Such as the megarobot and the crobos)

I am considering implementing auto-prune on mods and scenes, on the theory that if an awesome mod falls off the end, someone will have it and reupload it. There would be a punishment for repeatedly bumping a topic to avoid the prune.
That way newcomers would have an easier time, and the front page would cycle rather than just be new stuff.

I think a subforum for spectacular mods worth saving would prove useful in the light of autoprune.

Perhaps, but rating etc... people may complain.

No rating required. just general public consensus. Its pretty obvious which ones the community likes and uses the most.
For example, Crobos, Tomato Map, the Steamhowitzer, etc.
besides, if someone feels their mod is interesting enough to warrant archiving, all they have to do is ask in the thread and people can reply.
THOR gladly volunteers for the role of Mod Archiver.

... I think only the crappy mods should be deleted... The rest shouldnt
And when there is a mod (That is crappy) you can clearely see it
Why delete everything?
But since no mod would actually bother to do such thing (Lazyness, being a meanie, etc), I say there should be a voulenteer or something

I dont think -any- mods should be deleted, at least until they have reached a certain age, but I think there are some that should be protected and saved from deletion and even actively promoted.
Think about it, once someones mod gets relatively old, even a new one, its going to disappear.
And again, I volunteer to be the person in responsible for archiving and managing a Mod Archive section.

The idea is that the good mods would get reposted etc.
Maybe some method by which they could become archived.
