I've 2 gigs. Full specs:
E6600 processor (2.40 GHz).
8800 GTX (Really.)
Vista Business (Meant to be HP. There was a cock-up somewhere along the line.)
And I still sometimes lag on Battlefield 2.

It's made to go with all cards currently available on the market. Oh, you said recommended. Also, I have 1GB. Half of it is virtually useless because my processor fails.
