Timmy is right.
If you don't have a game, nominate something else. If you don't have the game, you have two options: Go buy it, or don't play.
If you can't run the game -- well -- you have one option: Don't play.
Sorry, but it was a vote for a reason.

I don't like clonk.
Why is this weekly?
Why does it need to be so formalized?
Why the hell are we not using free games?
Why doesn't anyone have 1942?
I still say that this will be epic fail as opposed to epic win.

I don't either -_-
I didn't say it was weekly.
Because its supposed to be a thing where people plan on getting together. Encouraging unity and stuff.
Because there are not enough free games that satisfy two requirements: a) Enjoyed by everyone b) Popular enough. Free games are typically not well-known, nor do they enjoy the popularity of commercial products.
Because its old, and BF2(142) look a lot better and have a lot more people to play with.
Well, that doesn't mean you have to play. No one is asking you to contribute or post negatively in related threads.

My bad.
Planning a get together overseen my popular vote... the other threads made more sense, people could ask for a pertner for whatever game, or introduce us to new games, something in here makes this seem overly formalizzed still.
That was the point of the old freeform threads for this purpose.
I thought the point was to play with other DRL members......
I think questioning the worth of a community sort of thread is admissable, if for naught but the sake of figureing out what the hell the sense of this all is, we are going through a huge series of votes and crap so that about three of us will get together and play one game a couple times. It seems far less effective than teh older threads for finding gaming partners.
Or maybe I'm just tired and can't think straight.

I dont' see why its that difficult foryou to understand. Eventually, as the pickup gains popularity, more people will get in on it.
I have initiated this program on four other boards with complete and utter success. That would only serve to affirm a semi-lack of faith in this board for me if it were to fail here.
Regardless, if it were anyone else being so negative in any other post, we'd ask them to stop. I'm politely asking you to do the same.
If it fails, no harm--no foul. But lets not encourage and plan for failure, okay?

I love all three! I can't choose!
However, Clonk wins since it's full version with the demo so long as you play with someone who owns it, AKA Jay. 2142 comes in second, since it's extremely fun but the demo keeps you from earning anything or playing good servers. BF2 last, just because of bad experiences. AKA commanders macro-ing "Negative" constantly until I snipe them. Over and over. Spawn killing. Helicopter pilots flying into the water. Medics who run at the first sign of danger. Squads that don't listen. Etc.

If you play with me as a host, you can play online with the free version of CLONK!
But that doesn't stop you from having an assload of stuff to download

Well, if possible, a good processor. Eliminates lag. Other than that, no fancy graphics card needed.

Its not my fault that people nominated non-free games. Next time contribute a free game to the nomination and try to get people to vote for it.

It's not like this is forcing anybody to do anything. There is no possible reason to not do this. Unless you want to stop us from having a good time. I don't understand why anyone is complaining.
