Seriously, who takes an offtopic forum seriously?
Agreed, I would in fact prefer it if DRFF had no OT, that way we could keep DRFF strictly to CC.
And what happened to my earlier post?

That was the point of the closure today, and any posts that would have gone into OT ended up in General, the last place they needed to go. OT closes and the first thing you guys do is go complain in the General forum instead of just PMing someone.
And when we tried to close OT, you all threw a hissy-fit.

lol... I still say that we need to close OT, and then smack down on the spam in general.
After all, is the best way to keep spam out of the forum by making a forum for everything random?
I guess the new mods will crack down on that.

A forum needs an OT, seriously, don't even bother mentioning the idea of removing it.

How bout this?
People who don't want the OT, stay out of the OT.
People who want to whine about their lives, stay in the OT.
Nobody will have any problems whatsoever. How could it be any more simpler? If you don't want the OT, you're contradicting yourself by posting here in the first place.

How about this!?
Some people need OT to find out about things like people leaving and such. So there should be an announcements subforum or something so that people can tell everyone if they're leaving or coming back without those people having to come here.

Alenth wrote: A forum needs an OT, seriously, don't even bother mentioning the idea of removing it. I disagree, I mean, there are a million forums that have no OT and they seem to get along just fine. 3 Solid wrote: Some people need OT to find out about things like people leaving and such. He's right, there isn't a "I'm going/coming Back" thread stickied in general, there are only two stickies that are in OT that are in the others. Those are the rules and Alenth's announcements.
I know that no matter how much I disagree, we'll still have OT. And yes, I know that this is a dictatorship not a democracy, but I still think it should be gone, whether it will happen or not.

Arguing without an argument doesn't really help either.
That's because general is for CC.
Those are global announcements.

Or, people will do what they used to do and would just put P.S. in the bottom of their post saying taht they'll be leaving. We don't need a full topic for that.
